The Abraaj Group invests in Algeria’s Cellulose Processing

The new deal to strengthen Cepro’s market

Dubai: The Abraaj Group, an investor operating in global growth markets announced on Monday the acquisition, through its second generation North Africa Fund (ANAF II), of a significant minority stake in Cellulose Processing (Cepro), a manufacturer and distributor of baby diapers and feminine sanitary pads in Algeria.

Abraaj, in partnership with Cepro’s founding Mehri family, will draw on its significant investment expertise to increase production capacity and efficiency, diversify Cepro’s product offering, enhance marketing efforts through a new branding strategy, and expand its network by developing new distribution channels in Algeria and sub-Saharan Africa, the companies said in a statement.
