Mcb Bank leads losers on Karachi benchmark

Karachi: Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, fell 0.81 per cent at the close of trade Tuesday.

The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange fell 96.47 to 11,772.41. Among the stocks in the index, 29 rose, 57 fell and 14 were unchanged.

Declines in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Mcb Bank Limited, Nestle Pakistan Ltd and Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd.

Active stocks

Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd, which fell Rs4.41 to Rs189.00, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan.

The next most-active issues were Engro Corp Ltd, which rose Rs5.91 to Rs124.14, and Fatima Fertiliser Co Ltd, which fell Rs1.22 to Rs25.30.
