Deal focuses on joint training, coordinated safety planning for energy, logistics sectors
Dubai: ENOC Group and DP World have signed an agreemtn aimed at strengthening emergency response capabilities across Dubai’s energy and logistics infrastructure. The agreement will support joint efforts in training, readiness planning, and coordination during emergency situations.
The MoU was signed at ENOC’s headquarters by Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, and Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC.
As part of the partnership, both organisations will conduct an annual joint emergency response drill, led by their respective safety teams. The agreement also includes regular updates to emergency response protocols and a unified approach to involving external responders when needed.
The move is intended to improve response times, enhance inter-agency coordination, and raise safety preparedness in Dubai’s critical infrastructure sectors.
ENOC has been actively investing in advanced emergency preparedness in recent years. In 2022, it launched a dedicated Emergency Response Centre in Jebel Ali in collaboration with Dubai Civil Defence. The Group has also sent members of its emergency response team for specialist training at the UK’s International Fire Training Centre, focusing on hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and complex fire scenarios specific to the oil and gas industry.
The collaboration with DP World aligns with both entities’ focus on improving resilience across operations that are vital to the region’s trade and energy supply chains.
