Dubai index tumbles 5% at open

Dubai: Responding to a five per cent fall in oil on Friday's trade, Dubai index tumbled more than five per cent in early deals, leading the losses in the region.

The Dubai Financial Market General index was down 3.68 per cent at 2,711.89, after hitting a low of 2,707.10.

The Abu Dhabi index was also down 2.68 per cent at 3,837.81.
