Dubai index falls more than 5% for second time this week

Sell-off continues as declining crude oil prices weigh on markets

Dubai: Dubai index continued its sell-off after a temporary relief on Monday as falling crude oil prices weighed on sentiment.

The Dubai Financial Market General Index was down 5.4 per cent at 2,622.49. Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange general index was also down 3 per cent at 3,770.29.

Brent crude fell 2.85 per cent to be at $27.87 per barrel.
