New 3-year contract will have ADNOC Gas ship LNG from its Das Island facility

Dubai: ADNOC Gas has signed off on a Dh1.6 billion ($450 million) LNG supply deal with Japan’s Jera Global Markets. It will be a three-year contract.
Supplies will commence from ADNOC Gas’ Das Island liquefaction facility in Abu Dhabi, which currently has a current capacity of about 6 million tons per annum.
The ‘world’s third longest-operating LNG plant’, Das Island has shipped over 3,500 LNG cargoes to date.
The JERA agreement ‘reaffirms ADNOC Gas' position as a reliable global supplier of clean energy while supporting Japan's energy requirements’.
“We will continue to support Japan’s energy needs and reinforce our position as a reliable partner in the global LNG market,” said Fatema Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADNOC Gas.
