ENEC welcomes Republic of Korea Minister to Barakah

Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec) on Friday hosted Minister Yoon Sang-jick of the Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy (Motie) of the Republic of Korea at Barakah in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, the site of the UAE’s peaceful nuclear energy programme.

The visit was an opportunity for the minister to witness the construction progress that has been made and further strengthen the bilateral relations between Republic of Korea and the UAE. In 2009, Enec awarded the Prime Contract to construct the UAE’s first nuclear energy plants to a consortium led by the Korean Electric Power Company (Kepco), one of the world leaders in safety, plant reliability and efficiency.
