Sharjah: The seventh edition of the highly anticipated Indian trade, cultural, and entertainment exhibition, ‘Come On Kerala,’ officially opened its doors today, Friday, May 9, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The mega event, organised by Gulf Madhyamam in collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Over 300 commercial exhibitors, government entities, and leading private sector companies from the UAE and India are showcasing their products and services. Organisers anticipate attracting more than 275,000 visitors over the three-day exhibition until Sunday, May 11.
Entrepreneurs from India and the UAE are showcasing innovations across key sectors such as healthcare, tourism, education, retail, and interior design. The exhibition is a significant platform for forging partnerships, sharing expertise, and unveiling new products and innovations, said organisers.
Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, said Come On Kerala provides a vital platform for connecting Sharjah’s business community with their counterparts in India, particularly Kerala, fostering mutual investment opportunities and commercial partnerships.
The seventh edition of the ‘Come On Kerala’ exhibition will feature more than 20 diverse cultural and entertainment programs, including live performances by prominent Bollywood celebrities, including Indian superstar Mohanlal and actress Priya Mani.
Jamal Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication at SCCI, highlighted the exhibition’s role as a trade and investment exchange catalyst, attracting many entrepreneurs, investors, and companies from vital economic sectors.
He underscored the opportunities the event offers to explore collaborations, forge strategic partnerships, and promote Indian products and services across the region while also introducing the Indian business community to the promising opportunities available in Sharjah.
Sultan Mohammed Al Omrani, Commercial Director at Expo Centre Sharjah, stated that the venue has finalised all arrangements to ensure a seamless experience for exhibitors and visitors. He expressed confidence that this year’s edition will be crucial in enhancing UAE-India relations and further solidifying Sharjah’s position as a leading regional and global hub for the exhibition and conference industry.
