Dubai: Region’s leading retailers, Lulu Group has entered into an agreement with Australian based Tech innovators, FilMe to make movie viewing easier and stress free, at home. Through FilMe’s innovative solution, customers won’t require any subscription, download, sign up or credit card to watch latest movies. They just have to look through smartphone's camera and scan QR code to play the chosen movie immediately.

It works seamlessly on all smartphones and has the following key USPs:

• No subscription required.

• No app download required.

• No sign up or credit card required.

• Half the cost of a single cinema ticket.

• Can be shared with up to 7 people over 7 days at no extra cost.

As per the agreement, Movies released in partnership with Lulu Group will be exclusively available at Lulu Hypermarkets across all regions using “Virtual Movie Tickets with QR Codes”

Commenting on this new initiative Faisal Mushtaq, CEO of Me Time Entertainment, the exclusive distributor of FilMe in the GCC said “movie watching in the GCC will never be the same again, as this is a real game changer. We have tie-ups with Fox Star, RSVP, Jio Studios, and Viacom 18, among major production studios and we are in advance discussion with Arabic, Malayalam, Tamil & Filipino, movie content for GCC.

Subhash Nair, Director Marketing & Distribution of Me Time Entertainment said "Lulu Hypermarket is obviously the most ideal choice as a strategic re-selling partner, with more than 200 stores spread across GCC catering to a wide demographical mix.” As part of launch campaign Lulu will be selling these “Virtual Movie Tickets with QR Codes” from Dhs 5 to Dhs 20 inclusive of all taxes.
