The University of West London RAK Branch Campus celebrated graduation day at the Crown Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, UAE.

The University of West London UAE Branch Campus, operating in the Academic Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, celebrated its second graduation ceremony for the students who achieved MBAs, BAs (Hon) business studies (BABS) and BA (Hon) accounting and finance (BAAF) qualifications.

Dr Anthony woodman, Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of West London United Kingdom, and Chair Person, University of West London RAK Branch Campus, presided over the graduation ceremony. The programme started with a welcome address by Mohammed Zaheer, Director of Operations, University of West London RAK Branch Campus, followed by speeches from Prof. Anthony Woodman, Ahmed Rafi B. Ferry, Director and CEO, UWL RAK Branch Campus, and Managing Director, Wisdom Education Group, Dr Steven Reissig, Chief Academic Zone Officer, RAKEZ, Zubair Ibrahim, Director UWL RAK Branch Campus, and Director PACE Group, Prof. Muraleedharan, Academic Dean, Business and Management Studies, and Dr Syed Abbas, Academic Dean, Computing and Engineering, UWL RAK Branch Campus.

While addressing the graduates, Prof. Anthony woodman said, "The University of West London RAK Branch Campus is the single formal branch campus of the University of West London around the globe and the accomplishments by the graduates are a result of years of hard work and commitment. The University of West London UK is delighted to provide full-hearted support to the branch campus in Ras Al Khaimah to ensure a consitently high quality of delivering courses in the years to come."

Ahmed Rafi B. Ferry, CEO University of West London RAK Branch Campus, said that the success of the campus is due to the hard work and deep hearted commitment from academic deans such as Prof. Murali, Prof. Abbas along with the Dy. Deans Prof. Mohanlal and Dr Shameem along with a strong team of a faculty supported by the operation and admin team headed by Mohammed Zaheer, Director of Operations. Ferry announced that, this year again, the campus will be expanded to accommodate a higher number of new enrollments than expected in the current academic year. He also revealed that along with the existing UG and PG Courses, a BEng (Hons) electrical and electronics engineering course, will launch at the branch campus in the next academic year.

Dr Steven Reissig, Chief Academic Zone officer - RAKEZ, conveyed support to the University of West London RAK Branch Campus during his speech through his comittment to delivering quality courses in the UAE alongside infrastructure development.

Zubair Ibrahim, Director PACE Group, said that to increase your chances of becoming a successful person, education is vital. He expressed deep sorrow at the sad demise of the former Co-Chairman of the University of West London RAK Branch Campus, Dr PA Ibrahim Haji, who was a source of unique energy and a pillar of strength for running the operation during difficult periods and that his legacy and vision will continue.

Prof. Muraleedharan, Academic Dean Management Studies, explained that the success behind the growth of the Branch Campus is due to the strong faculty at the UWL Branch Campus and how the academic team is giving equal importance to delivering strong academic results alongside intensive training, to get increase the employability of graduates.

Mohammed Zaheer, Director of Operations, mentioned that the Branch Campus is specific and deeply focused to ensure that the same quality from the Parent Campus in London is delivered in the Branch Campus in Ras Al Khaimah.

Prof. Abbas Naqvi, Academic Dean, Computing and Engineering, mentioned that highly demanded courses such as MSc Artificial Intelligence, MSc Cyber Security and more, are available at the University of West London RAK Branch Campus and that the intensive experience of the faculty, with extensive industrial exposure, are hired to give the students the vigorous training in their respective fields by foreseeing the best employability opportunities.

In the graduation ceremony at the University of West London UK, the valedictorian speech by Aysha Ferry was followed by a by a sttement of appreciation from Dr Sunayna Iqbal, Sr Lecturer, UWL RAK Branch Campus.
