Dubai: UAE yacht-maker Gulf Craft will have a lot riding on its ‘Majesty’ range, with the newest version set to make its European debut at Cannes. The 37-metre ‘Majesty 120’ is fitted out with two 2,500-hp engines and with a sundeck said to be 30 per cent larger than other boats in the same class.

Majesty Yachts represent the flagship of Gulf Craft’s portfolio. The company operates a boat making yard at its Umm Al Quwain facility. The Majesty 120 is rated as ‘ideal’ for shallow waters.

The Cannes Yachting Festival is one of the premier events for the industry as manufacturers try to impress potential buyers. The yachting and super-boat category has been in the limelight with some major new wins. Everyone who can afford one, including Jeff Bezos, is either building one or having it delivered.

“We are very much looking forward to returning to this year’s festival which has become a highlight on the international events calendar for the yachting community,” said Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft. “With the European debut of models such as the Majesty 120, we are continuing to grow and expand Gulf Craft’s footprint in Europe and offer a broader lineup of our composite-built yachts to our European customers.”

It was recently that Gulf Craft brought out the ‘Majesty 175’, which went quite some way in reinforcing the company’s credentials in superyacht construction.

Catching the eye

Also set for Cannes is the ‘Majesty 100’, one of Gulf Craft’s most models. The latest one will wear a ‘refined, avant-garde look’. The 31.7-metre yacht’s features include a sky lounge fly-bridge.
