SP Jain School of Global Management, a Forbes #12 ranked business school, reported 100% growth in enrolments for its Online EMBA program. The on-campus variant of the EMBA also did well, reporting a 30% growth in student enrolment compared to the previous year.
The EMBA program at SP Jain is a part-time 18-month program for working professionals who can opt to study on campus in Dubai and Singapore typically over weekends or virtually via SP Jain’s proprietary Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology that offers a real-time and immersive classroom experience.
With students from many different countries, including India, UAE, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Italy, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Philippines and Mauritius, the school reported that the 2021 batch is its most diverse to date. A batch typically has an average work experience of 12 years, with students representing companies such as Amazon, Apple, Aramex, Chanel, Emirates NBD, Ericsson, HDFC, Infosys, Larsen & Toubro, Panasonic, Protiviti, Tata, T-Series, Zomato, Arab Bank and First Bank.
There is ample diversity by industry background, with many students coming from IT as well as banking, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and oil and gas sectors. By undergraduate major, students had previously studied engineering and technology, business and commerce, computer science and the arts. Many within a batch already occupy middle to senior management positions in their organisations.
Commenting on the growth in student enrolments, Dr Gary Stockport, Dean – Executive MBA and Professor of Strategy at SP Jain, shared—"The increase in our EMBA enrolments clearly indicates that we deliver a world-class program. Despite a fall in worldwide MBA enrolments due to the pandemic, we reported an incredible growth from the previous year. There are many reasons for this including our breakthrough ELO technology. Specifically designed to enhance student engagement and enhance remote learning, it is well ahead of other online offerings. Of course, we have world-class practitioner faculty and a leading-edge curriculum as well.”
"SP Jain is probably the first-ever accurate and self-defining decision taken in my life. The overall experience including the course, exemplary faculty and the dynamic cohort has helped enrich my learning and will shape my professional roadmap ahead. As the cohort hail from different parts of the world, understanding cultures, thinking process and business acumen has been a tremendous learning journey. ELO has been a blessing in disguise during the pandemic. We, as students, never missed the feel of a classroom interaction with our professors or batch mates. The breakout rooms, chats, the typical classroom-like seating arrangement brought back fond memories from our school days,” expressed EMBA student Megha Chheda, who currently works with T-Series as Vice President, Digital.
The SP Jain EMBA recently won a prestigious Award under the category "New Age Institutions Providing Online Degree" at the Education Innovation Awards 2022, hosted by Entrepreneur India.
