Ajman: City University Ajman (CUA) held its Board of Trustees meeting at the university’s campus, chaired by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board.

The meeting brought together prominent board members to discuss institutional performance, strategic priorities, and the latest academic milestones.

Al Nuaimi extended a warm welcome to the members and expressed his appreciation for their unwavering dedication to supporting the university’s progress.

He opened the session by emphasising the importance of fostering a culture based on knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and innovation, encouraging the strengthening of partnerships with the labor market to achieve sustainable development and elevating City University Ajman’s position as a distinguished academic institution locally and globally.

Delivering the institutional update, CUA President Imran Khan highlighted key achievements. He shared that CUA received a prestigious 5-star rating from the QS Stars system in Teaching, Employability, Internationalization, and Facilities, reflecting the university’s commitment to academic excellence.

The Public Relations and Advertising program also earned international accreditation from AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs), a respected German accreditation body.

Imran Khan further announced that the university is actively pursuing international accreditation across all its colleges and academic programs, including AACSB for its Business programs, the Australian Dental Council (ADC) for its Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, and HCERES (High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education) for its Law programs.

The university has also launched several new programs aligned with labor market needs. These include the Master of Media Leadership and Communication Strategies, the Master of Strategic Human Resource Management (offered in Arabic), the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Production, as well as advanced programs in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Dental Internship — each designed to equip students with in-demand, future-ready skills.

The meeting was attended by respected members of the Board of Trustees, including Dr. Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of Ajman Ports and Customs Department; Abdul Rahman Mohamed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department; Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Shamsi, Legal Advisor to the Ruler’s Court of Ajman; Mr. Abdulaziz Al Jasmi, Group General Manager of R Holding; Mr. Sumair Tariq, Managing Director of R Hotels; and Mr. Imran Khan, President of City University Ajman.

The meeting concluded with valuable discussions and forward-looking recommendations from the Board. The leadership reaffirmed its full support for the continued development of CUA as a dynamic institution for academic excellence, innovation, and international engagement.
