Malabar Gold & Diamonds becomes first Indian jewellery retailer to open in Canada

Dubai: Malabar Gold & Diamonds, whose international head office is in Dubai, has launched its first retail presence in Canada. The store is in Mississauga, at Heartland Town centre within the Greater Toronto Area.

Malabar thus becomes the first international jeweler from India to launch in this North American market. Canada is also the 12th country on the retailer’s operational map. It is already there in the US.

“The expansion into Canada presents us with a unique opportunity to showcase our jewellery to a diverse customer base who truly appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of Indian jewellery,” said M.P. Ahamed, Group Chairman at Malabar.

Spread across 7,800 square feet, this is also is the largest jewellery showroom in Canada. It features over 30,000 designs across 25 brands and collections within the Malabar portfolio.
