Liwa College is preparing students for the future of technology by offering three cutting-edge information technology programmes. These programmes, including a diploma in graphic design and 3D animation, as well as a diploma and bachelor's degree in information technology, have been designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in an evolving tech landscape

Professor Santosh Ray, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Liwa College, said the programmes are designed to ensure students stay ahead of industry changes. Liwa College provides cutting-edge facilities, applied laboratories, and a conducive learning atmosphere across its campuses in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, adhering to international standards observed by leading technology-focused universities. This approach not only enhances students' understanding of scientific content but also enables them to initiate applied research projects aligned with the National Development Agenda and the UAE Centennial 2071 Plan.

Affirming the college's commitment to a robust academic plan, Prof. Ray said each programme equips students with both academic knowledge and practical skills essential for navigating the challenges within this critical sector. This approach not only enhances their ability to anticipate future trends but also fosters innovation, enabling students and graduates to adeptly apply artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology across diverse industrial domains.

Prof. Ray explained that the three programmes are curated to infuse students with a profound understanding, fostering an environment conducive to innovation, enriched by the integration of AI. The emphasis is on creating an interactive learning environment through adopting innovative teaching methodologies, ensuring students acquire the essential skills to stay abreast of the latest industrial advancements. These programmes encompass a diverse array of courses, spanning software development, systems administration, cybersecurity, data analysis, and various other critical areas within the technology sector. The Graphic Design and 3D Animation programme boasts an advanced curriculum imparting the most recent knowledge and skills in graphic design and 3D animation.

Prof. Ray elaborated on how the college's academic plan strategically positions students to engage with the dynamic variables of the labour market both nationally and regionally. This is achieved through carefully crafted academic programmes, specialised content, and the recruitment of distinguished teaching staff. Moreover, significant emphasis is placed on training. This is conducted in collaboration with strategic partners across diverse industrial and development sectors.
