House of Pianos launched Steinway & Sons Dubai on November 12, an exclusive showroom for Steinway pianos. Located in Al Quoz 1, Dubai, the store carries the brand’s ethos translated into the highly-coveted collection, including limited edition Steinway pianos. The launch also celebrated the 5-year partnership with Steinway & Sons, the leading piano manufacturer for over 170 years.
Guido Zimmerman, CEO and Managing Director of Steinway Europe, attended the opening ceremony to congratulate the guests and the CEO of House of Pianos, Shavkat Mamadjonov, with the new musical destination strategically located in the cultural hub of Dubai. The store also boasts an impressive Spirio lounge with the latest technology of the self-playing system with limited edition, bespoke pianos. The Steinway & Sons Spirio is the world’s finest high-resolution player piano, enabling individuals to enjoy performances captured by great pianists - played with such nuance and passion that they are utterly indistinguishable from a live performance.
The brand-new store is connected to the Steinway Community Concert Hall, with a capacity of 120 seats and the world’s finest Steinway piano on stage. Built to serve and support the growing community of music aficionados and young minds, the Steinway Community Concert Hall is a destination where piano students can play on the world’s best piano and professional stage. Guests were invited to join the performance of two amazing Steinway artists – Ioannis Potamousis, a Steinway artist based in Abu Dhabi, and Joja Wendt, a Steinway artist from Germany.
The Steinway Community Concert Hall hosts a highly-popular Community Concert Series wherein global artists willingly send their requests to perform without charge for visitors or performers. With a wait-line duration of over a year, the program is currently booked till October 2023.
