To replicate the success of Yiwu Market China, in the GCC, a part of the team was especially flown in from Yiwu Market China, under the leadership of Mr Qiuming Zhang, who was previously the General Manager of two wholesale markets invested by CCC (Yiwu International Production Material Market, and LiaoNing Xiliu Yiwu China Commodities City, with 5800 and 6124 showrooms respectively). Once completed, by the end of 2021, Yiwu Market UAE will establish a dedicated international logistics line between Dubai Yiwu Market and China Yiwu Market, to allow Chinese goods to enter Dubai expeditiously at competitive costs for seamless distribution across the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe.

The market will be divided into two purpose-built sections. The first section will have 1600 showrooms, five atriums, five main entrances and expandable parking spaces. The showrooms are categorically segmented into Electronics & Appliances, Home & Office Supplies, Tools & Hardware, Bedding, Curtains, Lighting, Beauty & Accessories, Kitchen & Bath and Clothing.

Running parallel to the showrooms, the second section will comprise 324 bonded warehouses, with dedicated loading docks, providing complete logistical support for seamless movement of goods. In addition to being located in the up-and-coming trading hub for the next decade, Yiwu Market will provide a plethora of value-added services, in compliance with Jebel Ali Free-Zone policies such as:

• Showrooms with rental fees starting as low as AED 500/sqm/year with no management fees

“The purpose of constructing Yiwu Market in Dubai is to provide a one-stop purchasing, high-efficiency platform for trading on both bulk and retail, online and offline basis. With decades of retail real-estate experience, we’ve come to recognise the pain points for our clientele and as a result have created a portfolio, which once completed at the end of 2021 around the time of EXPO, will offer unrivalled benefits in the region and beyond”, said Qiuming Zhang, General Manager, Yiwu Market UAE.
