Abu Dhabi: Chinese tech giant Huawei’s Cloud division unveiled the Pangu finance model and the new distributed core financial database GaussDB at the Huawei Cloud Fintech Summit Middle East and Central Asia 2023, amid the Abu Dhabi Finance Week (ADFW) on Tuesday. This marks the first time these solutions have been made available to countries and regions outside of China, said Frank Dai, President of Huawei Cloud Middle East and Central Asia.

He said the AI-driven finance model has the ability to reshape every key part in the financial service chain.

“In the financial industry, foundation models can help financial institutions enhance operational efficiency, minimize expenses, and foster innovation,” said Dai.

AI models, like Pangu, play a significant role in financial production, serving as assistants to service personnel and IT technical personnel. They can contribute to various tasks such as intelligent data analytics, automatic coding, automatic credit report generation, and intelligent customer services
