The UAE has set the highest standards of progress over the past 50 years. Today the people of UAE are celebrating the nation’s Golden Jubilee, as a mark of achievement on all levels, and as a benchmark for the next fifty years.
The UAE’s love of setting world records has given the world so many testimonials of human determination; other than building the world’s iconic pieces of architecture and infrastructire. The UAE was able to make a huge shift from having an oil-based economy to diversifying its economic sectors. This is in addition to the UAE’s achievement in becoming the first Arab nation to set off its Hope probe to Mars - an achievement that had brought the country into the forefront of the global scene.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, had announced 2020 to be the year of preparation for the next 50 years. “We want to develop our plans, our projects, our way of thinking. Fifty years ago, UAE founders designed our lives today… Today, we want to design the next fifty years for the new generations,” said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
With this spirit of action and determination, the people of the UAE follow suit by participating in designing the next fifty years, as the celebrations of this proud day continue in all the seven Emirates.
