One of the most relevant areas of the project Aveiro Digital Export are the prospection visits and participation in trade fairs, which allowed AIDA CCI - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Aveiro District to explore business opportunities and possible partnerships that could be interesting to companies from the district of Aveiro.

The selection of international markets was based on the analysis of their attractiveness, macroeconomic and digital profile and propensity to establish commercial business relationships. From this analysis, it was found that markets such as Dubai, Canada, United States of America, Italy, Netherlands and Japan present opportunities in niche markets for SMEs in the district of Aveiro, very interesting.

Through these visits we also highlight the contact with similar entities from foreign markets which also allowed to start the creation of support structures / cooperation networks between companies.

AIDA CCI was present in three key events in Dubai, which due to its highly competitive strategic location in the Gulf region, and with easy access to markets in the Middle East, Asia and Africa becomes one of the most attractive markets.

The first visit was made to Arab Health, the most important trade fair for the health sector in the entire Middle East region and the second largest in the world, after Medica in Germany, for the medical-hospital sector.

During the days of this fair, AIDA CCI met with some partner entities from Malta, Germany, Lithuania and Luxembourg. This allowed to strengthen relationships and create channels of cooperation to enhance partnerships for the benefit of SMEs.

In 2022, a prospection visit was made to the "Middle East Energy" fair, which paved the way for AIDA CCI to participate in 2023, in this same fair, with an institutional stand. The selection for this event was due to the fact that the focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy is a national priority and this allowed the collection of a set of information (technologies, know-how and business opportunities) and contacts (business and institutional) that were then disseminated by the business ecosystem.

Thus, the AIDA CCI had the opportunity to meet the key players in the sector, assess the demand and needs of the sector and identify business opportunities for companies in the District.

In addition to Dubai, the ADE project was present in markets such as the Netherlands, Canada, Italy, Japan and the United States.
