Series will feature fads in the design and development of landmarks in Sharjah and beyond
Dubai: The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has launch “Sharjah Designscape”, a virtual series that will discuss the current architecture landscape within Sharjah and explore its transformation in terms of ideas, concepts and designs.
The weekly webinars, to be held at 8pm every Thursday on Zoom, will run from June 25 to August 06, and will feature top international and UAE-based industry experts who will lead the discussions.
The series designed by Shurooq targets architects, designers, students, community planners, real estate developers and community members in the UAE and beyond, and seeks to encourage them to “push the envelope in creating built spaces in which social and environmental responsibilities are interwoven”, the agency said in a statement.
The first in the series will be hosted by by Dara Towhidi, Partner at Fosters & Partners, Nada Taryam, Director of Civil and Architecture Projects at Bee’ah; and Khawla Al Hashimi, Director of Projects, Shurooq.
