Dubai: Nissan is coming up with ways to get the automobile showroom beamed directly into prospective buyers’ homes.

Nissan has grouped its digital and remote services under the Shop@Home tab on its websites in the GCC countries, South Africa, Egypt, Turkey and India. Services include a video call feature through which customers can speak to a dealer representative, or request a call back or online chat.

Key services such as queries and bookings associated with a trip to the local dealer can now be done digitally. This includes a full virtual showroom experience, providing a 360-degree online tour around dealerships to discover vehicles, as well as options to buy.

The buying process can also be completed online with the help of a finance calculator and pre-loan assessment as well as warranty information.

“The digital space offers huge potential to revolutionise the vehicle purchase and ownership experience,” said Guillaume Cartier, Nissan’s Chairman of the Africa Middle East and India.

“We listened to customers during this challenging time, and have developed a range of online features and services that allow people to choose, compare, configure and even purchase a vehicle from the comfort and safety of their own homes.”

Customers who prefer to physically experience a Nissan vehicle of their choice can request a home test drive, with the car being dropped off and picked up at the customer’s location. Home maintenance of vehicles for existing customers is also available.
