With Expo 2020 days away, leading minds from 191 nations will come together in what is billed as the world’s most novel sustainability experience in Dubai.

With the aim of ‘connecting minds’ and creating the future through sustainability, mobility and opportunity, the six-month extravaganza will focus on experiences, thought leadership, and public conversations to find solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems.

In line with the goals of Expo 2020, ‘Gulf News’ and CNBC Arabia will host Expo Talks, a series of thought leadership conversations on innovation and sustainability through an exclusive partnership with the World Sustainable Business Forum (WSBF). The series will spotlight the best innovations and industries to scale best practices and drive the post-pandemic economic recovery.

‘Gulf News’ and CNBC Arabia will power the activation forward to target high-level audiences from the region, using the combined print, digital and TV resources of both media houses.

“Today, the entire world is looking up to Dubai,” says Abdul Hamid Ahmad, CEO, Editor-in-Chief and Executive Director of Publications at the leading English-language newspaper in the UAE. “At Gulf News, we are committed to making this the most successful Expo by leveraging the strength of our wide viewership across print and digital.

“Riding on the resounding success of the inaugural World Sustainable Business Forum, we are delighted to extend our exclusive partnership with WSBF as the official publishing partner. Expo Talks will be a catalyst for highly engaging and insightful dialogue with thought leaders and leading influencers on trends shaping the sustainability landscape at a regional and global scale.”

“Today, sustainability needs to be embedded into every organisation no matter their industry or level of maturity. Investors are prioritising environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria to evaluate the companies in which they invest,” says Merzi Sodawaterwala, founder and Chairman of WSBF.

“Expo Talks in collaboration with Gulf News and CNBC Arabia will provide the largest platform across print, TV and digital to showcase torchbearers who are committed to a sustainable future on a local, national, regional and global scale.”

“Sustainability through innovation and multilateral collaboration across governments, industries and generations is the topmost priority for the world,” says Nabeel Hood, Director - Business Development at CNBC Arabia. “This cross-platform initiative will bring together executives and policy makers to exchange ideas with the concerted objective of capturing the mindshare of our wide viewership across the MENA region.”
