Focusing on the needs of parents and the requirements of families in the region, Kido Education, a global network of nurseries based out of 5 countries, has developed and curated a one of a kind platform – Kido Home - for the early years education sector - which was launched in the Middle East in September 2020, coinciding with their global launch in Hong Kong, India and the United States.

Within the first few months of launch, the interest has been over-whelming, with the home-based platform receiving more than 5000 enquiries across the region, out of which for those trialing, every 3rd parent has enrolled to access the personalized program for their child.Kido Home has both morning and evening classes running for children allowing them to be taught by teachers from the UK, with an emphasis on project-based and thinking-based learning.

“While Kido Home has been launched during the pandemic, and during the closure last year, Kido Nurseries had already been offering online support to parents which has gone above and beyond just provision of home learning packs or online learning videos alone, Kido Home not only caters to the ever-widening gap in the availability of affordable quality education to all, but also helps to grapple with the pandemic that has shaken establishments across the globe,” according to Umair Tariq, Kido CEO for Middle East & Africa.

“The over-whelming uptick in interest from far and wide even after the reopening of the physical schools, as well as demand on ongoing basis, leads us to believe that through Kido Home we can bring Early Childhood Education to an even wider audience in the long-run.”

Parent’s Response:

The experience has been a wonderful process of learning and sharing with a high degree of interaction, a sentiment that has been expressed by many parents who are already using Kido Home in the UAE & Saudi Arabia.

Majd and Ahmad, parents of their 4-year-old son Hashem said, “We would like to thank Kido for such an amazing platform. We are happy to see Hashem’s progress in different areas and the new things that he’s learning everyday! We are very impressed with the one on one sessions every Thursday with each child for focused attention and for customizing their abilities.

A big thank you to the amazing teachers whose lessons are super fun and informative. In the time of uncertainty providing such high quality learning through technology is, we must say, highly motivating for us as parents and for our children. We are proud to be part of Kido home and glad we took the decision to be part of such a premium program.”

Kido Home aims at breaking down all the barriers that young families face in the challenging times of today, where they are able to ensure a high quality and consistent education for their children, at a fraction of the cost, all in the comfort of their homes.

Kido Home and EdTech – Opening New Frontiers in Early Childhood Education

The last few months have shown that technology is going to pervasive all across in the learning journey of children globally and it will become both an enabler and deliverer, whether it is formal or informal instruction. The first wave was to work through broadcast technologies like Zoom, Teams or Google Classrooms, however these will give way to more interactive technologies, and also incorporate new avenues of content generation, delivery and assessment.

While more and more platforms are being developed, those who will actually focus on the outcomes for children will be the ones who will build sustainable models rather than just delivering classroom content online without a well-thought out plan of engagement and development.

Early Childhood education is a meticulous combination of highly skilled staff, intertwined with a high quality educational and social setting in which the children are carefully and lovingly nurtured into the confident, secure young individuals they become. International Nurseries are sometimes considered a costly option, as a result there are a lot of families who are unable to send their children to nurseries because of cost considerations, and it was this exact reason, that resulted in Kido Education to gather their expertise together to brainstorm their latest, and most innovative challenge to date.

The Pandemic has mostly accelerated trends that were going to come about in the next 10-years. Online learning while currently being looked at as a back-up for the closure of physical schools, in the long-run Kido sees the trend accelerating, as with increased connectivity, people who do not have access to the best physical schools and teachers, increasingly look at online learning as a viable alternative. Additionally, affordability will become a big factor, and with scale online education will be able to be delivered much more cheaply, with other avenues being built for children’s social interaction and physical development. The availability of education will become where the parent wants it to be whether in their homes or at schools.

Kido’s future initiatives

Kido Schools is one of the leading pre-school names globally, and being voted recently as the Private Education Group of the Year at the Education Investor Awards 2020 in London. They are initiating a slew of measures in the near future that can widen and further democratize good quality education in the early education segment.

According to Kido Founder, Aniruddh Gupta, “The first six years of a child’s life are the most important as this is the time where they absorb information at a rapid pace. From language to rational thinking, or even picking up on verbal and non-verbal cues, these years are the most crucial. Our aim, since we launched in Dubai, has been to provide unparalleled quality of early education that develops children into thinking and independent individuals who are curious about lifelong learning. While social interaction is currently on the halt, we don’t want that to deter a child’ path of learning, which is why we are launching several other initiatives that will help parents take advantage of the award-winning curriculum curated by global early education specialists from some of the best universities across the world.”

Kïdo Home is currently enrolling across the region and has already seen admissions from all over the Middle East. Parents can sign up for a free trial class by visiting www.kidohome.net.
