Dubai: “As the first five-star hotel in the city, the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek has historically been a massive supporter of the country’s nationwide initiatives. Of course, with the ongoing efforts of the UAE government to combat the pandemic and become the first country to vaccinate its entire population – for which we are truly thankful for, we have also been doing our part by actively looking for the most efficient ways to get all our team members vaccinated the soonest possible,” says Jan Hanak, general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek.

According to Jan Hanak, this was driven mainly by the hotel’s human resources team, with the strong support of every department head. Incentives, free transportation to and from the vaccination centers, as well as regular virtual townhalls with the hotel staff were the key drivers to achieving this impressive milestone.

Hanak adds, “Ever since COVID hit us, our main priority has been the health & safety of our people, who are the most loyal and longest standing members not just of this historical hotel, but the entire hotel industry within the UAE. Some of our staff have been with us for more than forty years and are part of the reason why our loyal guests keep coming back. It is only right we give them such importance in these unprecedented times. Moreover, as one of the pioneering hotels in the country, we feel it is our job to contribute to the rise of the tourism industry in Dubai by helping to promote the city as one of the safest destinations in the world today.”

The hotel currently has less than fifteen remaining staff members who are scheduled to get vaccinated within the next few weeks. The Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek aims to reach 100% vaccination rate of all eligible staff by the end of April.
