Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and the Chairman of Tawazun Economic Council Board of Directors, has approved the appointment of Tareq Abdul Raheem Al Hosani as the Chief Executive Officer of Tawazun Economic Council & Tawazun Holding.
Al Hosani served as the Deputy Director General of the National Electronic Security Authority and also held various management positions in Mubadala Development Company and Yah Satellite Telecommunications Company (Yahsat). He also serves as a board member of several organisations, according a statement on Sunday.
Based in Abu Dhabi, the Tawazun Economic Council was founded in 1992 to fulfil a vision of comprehensive and sustainable economic and social development within the UAE. The Council is responsible for the Tawazun Economic Program, formerly known as the UAE Offset Program, which was established to diversify the UAE’s economy and create new ventures in various sectors through partnerships with international defence contractors.
