Dubai: Emirates NBD has signed up with Network International to process payments using the UAE’s ‘Jaywan’ debit cards issued by the bank. Jaywan cardholders will be able to make payments at merchant terminals operated by Network.

The Jaywan cards, which come under the UAE Central Bank entity Al Etihad Payments, are being issued by UAE based banks to account holders. It is seen as the UAE’s own payments platform and which will come with its set of features.

Emirates NBD’s will roll out Jaywan cards that will be accepted at the bank’s ATMs, Network International operated terminals and e-payment gateways.

Network International will help with access to more than 60,000 merchant partners in the UAE in sectors including high-end retail, hospitality, electronics, jewellery, and hypermarkets.
