UAE airlines will not adjust Fifth Freedom services

GCAA sends US State Department letter on Fifth Freedom flights

Last updated:

Dubai: The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said it has sent the US Department of State a letter describing the intentions of UAE carriers for future Fifth Freedom flights.

The letter said that UAE airlines have no current plans to adjust Fifth Freedom services that operate in accordance with air transport agreements.

This follows talks earlier this month between authorities from both countries on Open Skies and air transport agreements. GCAA said that it is making available on its website the record of discussion between the UAE and US.
