Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport has issued a travel advisory alerting passengers to ongoing flight delays and cancellations due to regional airspace closures.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Abu Dhabi Airports said disruptions at AUH are expected to continue through Sunday, June 15, and Monday, June 16. Passengers are strongly urged to check with their airlines for the latest travel updates before heading to the airport.

The disruptions come in the wake of reported strikes targeting nuclear and military facilities in the region, triggering heightened instability and widespread airspace shutdowns across parts of the Middle East.

UAE airlines issue travel alerts

Passengers flying through Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah to destinations including Iraq, Iran, Jordan, and Lebanon are facing delays and cancellations amid ongoing regional tensions and airspace restrictions. Travelers are strongly advised to check flight statuses and explore rebooking options without delay.

UAE carriers — Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and Air Arabia — have announced widespread cancellations and route changes in response to the situation.

Etihad Airways faces disruptions

Etihad has cancelled all flights between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv through June 16. Flights to Amman and Beirut are expected to resume on June 15 but will operate on revised schedules for existing bookings only. Several other routes are being rerouted due to airspace closures across parts of the Middle East.

Passengers connecting through Abu Dhabi to suspended destinations will not be accepted at their original departure points. Etihad has urged customers to check their flight status at etihad.com or contact the airline directly at +971 600 555 666.

On Saturday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a travel advisory urging Emirati nationals, residents, and visitors to stay informed by contacting their respective airlines as disruptions continue to impact regional air travel.
