Strata in deal to manufacture Airbus A350-1000 flap supports

Dubai: Strata Manufacturing, the Mubadala Development Company-owned composite aerostructures manufacturer, on Tuesday said it has been awarded a contract to manufacture Airbus A350-1000 Flap Support Fairings (FSFs) by Swedish company Saab Aerostructures.

Under the “multimillion US dollar contract,” Strata will supply Saab Aerostructures until 2023, according to an emailed statement.

It is the first time that Strata has worked with Saab Aerostructures and follows the Mubadala’s 2012 deal with the Sociétés Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aéronautiques (SABCA) to provide FSFs for the Airbus A350-900.
