Dubai: Saudi Arabia's flag carrier, Saudia, has announced the launch of a new direct route connecting Dammam's King Fahd International Airport with London Heathrow.

The airline said the service, which will begin in November 2025, is being introduced in partnership with the Air Connectivity Program (ACP) and Dammam Airports Company (DACO).

The new route will operate three times a week in each direction, positioning Dammam as the third city in the Kingdom, after Jeddah and Riyadh, to offer direct flights to London Heathrow, one of the United Kingdom's busiest aviation hubs.

Saudia stated that the expansion is part of its strategy to grow its international network and utilise its modern fleet efficiently.

The airline also highlighted the new connection's role in supporting Saudi Arabia's National Aviation Strategy and strengthening its tourism links with the UK, in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Passengers will be able to book tickets via Saudia's website and mobile applications, which the airline says incorporate artificial intelligence features to aid travel planning.

Saudia currently operates 38 weekly flights to London Heathrow from Jeddah and Riyadh, offering a total capacity of 11,900 seats each week. In the first six months of 2025, the airline reported carrying 447,287 passengers on these routes. Saudia also serves London Gatwick, Manchester, and Birmingham.
