The continuous growth of the Dubai air show reflects the confidence the international aviation industry has in the event as well as Dubai's organisational capability and the infrastructure it offers to make these events a success, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group, said yesterday.

This year's event is expected to be the biggest since it was launched.

More than 700 companies from 64 countries from around the world will take part in the show, he said. Shaikh Ahmad said that this represents a 20 per cent growth over the last year.

A number of massive deals are expected to be concluded on the sidelines of the show, Shaikh Ahmad added.
