Oman Air resumes full flight schedule as Iran-Israel ceasefire takes effect

Dubai: Oman Air announced on Tuesday the full resumption of its daily scheduled inbound and outbound flights, following the cancellation of services the previous evening due to heightened regional tensions and temporary airspace closures.

The resumption of the Omani national carrier’s daily scheduled flights followed the reopening of airspace across the Gulf region and the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran and Israel. 

On Monday night, The airline suspended flights to several key Gulf destinations — including Manama, Dubai, Doha, and Kuwait — citing escalating regional developments that prompted aviation authorities to restrict air traffic across parts of the Middle East. Passengers were urged to check their flight status before heading to the airport.

In a statement issued today, the national carrier confirmed that normal operations had resumed across its network and that daily scheduled services were back in place.

The disruption came amid a wave of missile activity. It heightened alert levels in several GCC countries, as tensions between Iran and Israel continued to ripple across the region, leading some airspace authorities to implement precautionary closures overnight.

Regional aviation authorities had temporarily closed their airspace amid heightened security concerns, leading to widespread flight cancellations and delays. With tensions easing and airspace restrictions lifted, airlines have gradually begun restoring operations. Oman Air confirmed it is working closely with regional aviation regulators to ensure the safety and efficiency of its resumed services.
