Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. The event, running from 17–21 November, is the largest edition to date and brings together major global players in aviation, defence, and aerospace.

During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed the latest innovations across the sectors, underlining the importance of technological development and competitiveness. He also inspected new civil and military aircraft in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.

UAE makes big strides

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the UAE’s progress in research and innovation, noting that global partnerships and skilled national talent are essential to sustaining the nation’s leadership in aviation. He said Dubai will continue investing in advanced infrastructure and smart airports to prepare for future industry needs.

Throughout the tour, Sheikh Mohammed visited several key pavilions showcasing commercial and military aircraft, sustainable and hybrid technologies, air mobility solutions, and aerospace systems. He received briefings on projects aimed at improving efficiency and reducing emissions.

Sheikh Mohammed also viewed the COMAC C919 passenger aircraft during its Middle East debut. With 192 seats and competitive fuel performance, the aircraft marks China’s entry into global commercial aviation.

Additional stops included the CATIC pavilion, highlighting China–UAE aviation collaboration; the Strata–Mubadala pavilion, showcasing UAE manufacturing capabilities; the EDGE pavilion with advanced defence technologies; and the LODD and Dubai South pavilions.

Dubai Airshow 2025 hosts more than 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 newcomers, 148,000 trade visitors, and 490 delegations from 115 countries. The event features 21 country pavilions, 98 chalets, 120 start-ups, 50 investors, expanded exhibition space, and more than 200 aircraft across flying and static displays—the largest showcase in the event’s history.
