flydubai first Gulf airline to use Windows 8 app

The app reduces the process to only two minutes per passenger

Last updated:

Dubai: Flydubai has become the first airline in the Gulf to use a Windows 8 App for passenger check-in at Dubai International Airport Terminal 2.

The app reduces the process to only two minutes per passenger. The App runs on a touch-enabled tablet that connects to the airline’s back-end services and is integrated with a passport scanner and printer.

The Windows App aims to ease the process of check-in for passengers by allowing staff to scan passenger information, assign seats and issue boarding passes on the spot.
