Etihad, British telecommunications giant sign mult-million dollar deal

The British telecommunications firm will provide Etihad Airways with cloud-based solutions for its call centres

Dubai: Etihad Airways and BT have signed a five-year multimillion dollar deal for the British telecommunications giant to provide the airline with cloud-based solutions for its call centres.

BT’s Cloud Contact Cisco will route calls from 40 countries to Etihad’s call centre’s in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and to Manchester in the United Kingdom, Etihad said in an emailed statement on Sunday.

The airline said the deal will improve customer service and decrease the average wait time by over 30 per cent.
