Dubai: Emirates has warned customers against a wave of fraudulent advertisements spreading across several social media platforms, aimed at deceiving users into buying fake tickets, sharing personal information, or clicking on malicious links.

The airline said these deceptive ads impersonate its official branding, using fake links and visuals that closely resemble its corporate identity. “To protect our customers and safeguard our brand, we have decided to temporarily suspend all of our advertising campaigns on social media,” the airline said in a statement. “We are working closely with platform providers to identify and remove these ads quickly — often within minutes of their appearance.”

The Dubai-based carrier stressed that “customer safety is our top priority,” urging customers to remain vigilant and verify any suspicious content before engaging with it online.
