Ultra-fast Starlink Wi-Fi coming to 232 Emirates Boeing 777 and A380s

Dubai: Emirates will roll out ultra-fast Starlink Wi-Fi across its in-service fleet, starting with its Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025 and completing the installation by mid-2027.
The complimentary service delivers ground-quality internet at cruising altitude, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to industry-leading inflight connectivity.
The Boeing 777-300ER A6-EPF, currently on display at the Dubai Airshow, is the first Emirates aircraft equipped with Starlink. Visitors at the Airshow can experience the high-speed connectivity firsthand on the ground. The first commercial passenger flight using Starlink will depart immediately after the Airshow, marking the start of the accelerated fleet-wide rollout.
Emirates will retrofit approximately 14 aircraft per month, with Airbus A380 installations beginning in February 2026. Each Boeing 777 will feature two Starlink antennae, while each A380 will have three, an industry first, to ensure maximum connectivity, capacity, and coverage across all cabin classes.
Starlink Wi-Fi will be free for all passengers, across all cabins on equipped aircraft. Access is simple, requiring just one click—no payment or Skywards membership needed. Passengers will be able to stream, game, make calls, work, and browse social media on both personal devices and seatback screens. Live TV via Starlink will roll out initially on personal devices and later on seatback screens from late December 2025.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said: “Partnering with Starlink is another defining moment in our commitment to ensuring our customers ‘fly better’. We’re introducing the world’s fastest Wi-Fi to elevate inflight connectivity, enabling seamless productivity, real-time communication, and uninterrupted digital experiences.”
Clark added that the Starlink rollout is part of Emirates’ broader fleet refurbishment programme, which includes new Premium Economy cabins, enhanced Business Class, refreshed First Class suites, and upgraded entertainment systems.
Chad Gibbs, VP of Starlink Business Operations, SpaceX, said: “With Starlink onboard Emirates flights, you’ll be able to stream, game, and make video calls just as you do on the ground. We’re excited to transform the travel experience and support the rapid installation of Starlink while maintaining service quality.”
The Starlink rollout complements Emirates’ extensive onboard offerings, including over 6,500 entertainment channels, the iconic A380 Onboard Lounge, and First Class Shower Spa. To date, 76 aircraft have been fully refurbished as part of the nearly 220-aircraft retrofit programme, featuring Premium Economy, redesigned Business Class, refreshed First Class, and elevated cabin finishes.
