Dubai: Missed the price-busting tickets previously offered by some UAE airlines? Don’t despair, as the summer fare promotions aren’t over yet, and Emirates just announced it has kicked off one of its biggest sales yet.

Starting today until August 20, last-minute holidaymakers can score money-saving airfares to more than 70 destinations in Europe, the Americas, Middle East and the Far East.

Air tickets can be had for less than Dh1,000 and if you're lucky, you could book a summer holiday and fly to your dream destination by September 1 this year, or plan a getaway for next year.

The UAE-based carrier confirmed on Sunday that it is offering economy fares to Toronto, Canada for just over Dh4,000, Beirut at Dh945, Mumbai at Dh995, Bangkok at Dh2,345, Lisbon at Dh2,945, Mauritius at Dh2,995, Los Angeles at Dh4,835 and Santiago at Dh 5,105.

Flights to Manila and Clark, Philippines and Moscow, Russia can be booked for just a little over Dh2,000.

Budget carrier flydubai had earlier unveiled cheap tickets for as low as Dh10, while Emirates had a special deal offering flyers to visit select destinations for just a little over Dh400. Some of the special fares were valid for travel during the Eid holidays.

The latest Emirates offer applies to flights between September 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
