Dubai: Summer just got cooler for travellers passing through Dubai International airport, with Emirates announcing on Thursday that it is giving away millions of cups of ice cream for the rest of the summer.

From June 15 to August 31,  the UAE-based carrier aims to distribute two million cups of in-house ice cream, prepared by Emirates Flight Catering, to all of the airline’s passengers at select locations.

Ice cream kiosks will be stationed at the Terminal 3 departure and transit areas and customers can grab their treat during the three-month period.

They can choose from different flavours, including chocolate, vanilla, date and Arabic coffee, mango sorbet and lemon sorbet.

The treats will be available between 12 am and 3 am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm and 6pm and 9pm.
