Dubai: Emirates on Sunday announced three appointments in management roles in the airline’s offices in Japan, Malaysia, and Zambia.

Salem Al Marri will take on the role of country manager for Japan, while Abdalla Al Zamani was appointed as country manager for Malaysia. The airline also appointed Mohammad Bin Hafiz as manager for Zambia.

The appointments come as Emirates continues to grow its operations in Japan, Malaysia, and Zambia. All three of the managers are Emiratis.

Al Marri who will take on the role of manager for Japan will boost Emirates’ plan to grow its brand domestically. He began his career with Emirates as route planning analyst with the strategic planning department.

He spent a year as research student at Kobe University, and later enrolled in the ICS International Business Strategy MBA programme at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.

Al Zamani who will lead growth efforts across Malaysia, meanwhile, has been with Emirates for over 10 years. He has held positions in India and Bangladesh, as well as manager for Philippines.

Bin Hafiz, who was appointed as manager for Zambia, joined Emirates in 2010 and worked as manager for Riyadh and later, Morocco. He then joined the National Military Service in 2016 where he served until January this year.
