EgyptAir announce Boeing 737 order

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) will finance eight of the aircraft

Dubai: EgyptAir is to buy nine current model Boeing 737-800s valued at $864 million (Dh3.1 billion), the airline and plane maker announced on Wednesday.

The agreement was reached at the Farnborough Airshow in the UK, according to a joint company statement.

The order was previously announced as sold to an unidentified customer on Boeing’s website, the statement said. Middle East aircraft financier and lessor Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) will finance eight of the aircraft, the statement said.
