Doha airport adds $10 passenger charge

Dubai: Doha’s Hamad International Airport, the base of Qatar Airways, is adding a 35 Qatari riyal ($10; Dh35.27) for all passenger departing the airport.

The Passenger Facility Charge will apply for all departing and transferring passengers on tickets issued from August 30 for travel from December 1, according to a statement from the airport on Sunday.

Children without a seat that are under the age of two, passengers who are connecting on the same aircraft and those who have been involuntarily rerouted will be exempted, the statement said.
