As recruitment soars, Emirates launches Dh3 million cabin crew hub

Dubai: A new ‘Crew Zone’ – a dedicated space for cabin crew - has opened at the Emirates Group Headquarters in Dubai. The Crew Zone was in development for nine months and at an investment of Dh3 million, Emirates said in a statement.

The Crew Zone, built with a contemporary, open-plan design, is available on a 24/7 basis. Services offered at the centre include - educational workshops, tech zones and support, a beauty and wellbeing hub, an interactive lounge area, and many other support services specifically designed for cabin crew. Emirates is actively recruiting cabin crew from around the world.

The cabin crew can use the hub to finalise inflight reports, seek advice from stakeholders and colleagues, attend workshops on both professional and personal topics, consult at the Beauty Hub, collect documents and devices, or unwind and recharge with colleagues.

The spacious area can accommodate up to 200 crew at a time, with 7 different zones and services and is located on the Ground Floor of the Emirates Group Headquarters in Dubai.

The zones are: Emirates Crew Engagement Zone, Emirates One Device Hub, and Emirates Crew Lounge.

The crew engagement zone is a planned, multifunctional area dedicated to connecting crew with Emirates’ newest initiatives, product launches, in-person training and workshops.

The One Device Hub offers a seamless technological experience for cabin crew, staffed on a 24/7 basis to assist with questions about Emirates’ One Device programme. Meanwhile, the Emirates Crew Lounge - The Crew Lounge is a space created with relaxation in mind, featuring comfortable lounge seats and tables. Here, the crew can take a moment to recharge, enjoy a coffee, finish their flight reports upon landing, or catch up with colleagues.

The other zones are: Emirates Facilities Distribution Service, Emirates Crew Computer Zone, Emirates Crew Connect Services, and Emirates’ beauty hub.
