Ahmedabad: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad has announced the resumption of all scheduled flight operations since 4:05 PM India time today. This comes hours after an Air India plane crash near the airport perimeter led to the temporary suspension of all services.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has issued a statement recommending that "travellers check flight status directly with the airline and monitor the airline's websites for further updates." This advisory is crucial for passengers, given the earlier disruptions.

The decision to reopen the airport indicates that initial emergency response and safety assessments have been completed, allowing for the cautious return to normal operations. The earlier incident involved Air India Flight AI171, a London-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 242 people, which crashed shortly after take-off in the Meghani Nagar area.

Passengers are strongly advised to verify their flight details directly with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
