Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Airports and e& have announced a strategic partnership to provide all international travellers arriving at Zayed International Airport (AUH) with complimentary visitor SIM cards offering 10GB of free data for the first 24 hours. The initiative aims to enhance the arrival experience and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the world’s leading global destinations.

The service ensures that every visitor landing in the capital has instant, seamless connectivity, enabling them to access essential digital services—such as maps, ride-hailing, cashless payments, messaging apps, and destination guides including the Abu Dhabi Pass—from the moment they step into the terminal.

The move is part of Abu Dhabi Airports’ broader digital-transformation strategy, focused on delivering world-class passenger experiences and ensuring a smooth, intuitive arrival journey. It also builds on the airport’s reputation for excellence, having been named the “Best Airport at Arrivals Globally” for three consecutive years.

Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and CEO at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “At Abu Dhabi Airports, our priority is shaping the future of airport experiences and ensuring that every passenger feels welcomed the moment they arrive in Abu Dhabi. Our partnership with e& reflects our shared commitment to enhancing connectivity, convenience and digital access to create an exceptional and seamless arrival experience for every traveller.”

Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, CEO of e& UAE, added: “Providing seamless connectivity at Zayed International Airport ensures travellers enjoy convenience and ease as soon as they arrive. Together with Zayed International Airport, we’re simplifying arrivals with a fast, digital-first experience that helps visitors feel at home from the moment they land in our capital.”

AUH is one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation hubs, connecting travellers to more than 100 destinations through over 30 airlines. As of 30 September 2025, the new terminal welcomed 23.9 million passengers, marking an unprecedented 18th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth—a reflection of Abu Dhabi’s rising global prominence.
