DUBAI: The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Abu Dhabi held its 2016 Annual General Meeting at the Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi on June 8, where the members of the 2016-17 board of directors were elected.
Sharief Fahmy, of Middle East General Enterprises, was elected board chairperson, with Heather Smith, of NMC Healthcare, vice-chairperson. Peter Rafferty of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority was elected treasurer, with John P. McGowan Jr, of JPM Legal Advisors Worldwide, as secretary. They will assume their roles on July 1.
The Annual General Meeting started with a presentation by Executive Director Theresa F. Weber and a video commemorating 30 years of AmCham Abu Dhabi’s contributions to the UAE.
