Al Futtaim Motors confirms 154 Prius recalls

Dubai: Al Futtaim Motors, the local Toyota dealership, confirmed that 154 Prius MY 2016 will be part of an ongoing recall campaign to fix a braking system. “The subject vehicles are equipped with a foot-operated parking brake system containing a parking brake cable which operates the rear brake system,” said a statement. “Over time, during normal operation of the vehicle, the cable could disengage, causing the parking brake to become inoperative. Al Futtaim Motors has begun contacting customers with affected models to inform them about the situation and arrange service bookings accordingly.”
