Agthia group appoints new CEO

Abu Dhabi: Agthia Group, an Abu Dhabi-based food and beverage groups, has announced the appointment of Iqbal Hamzah as Chief Executive Officer.

Hamzah has been the Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary since joining the company in August 2006. Since May 2014, he has also held the position of Acting Chief Executive Officer, the company said in a statement.

Dhafer Ayed Al Ahbabi, Chairman of Agthia Group, said Hamzah has a deep and unparalleled understanding of the Agthia business, having spent over eight years in the senior management team.
