ZonesCorp has received over Dh160 million since the beginning of 2017
Dubai:
ZonesCorp, the Abu Dhabi government-owned economic zone operator, has received new investments totalling Dh160 million since the start of 2017, according to a statement from the firm on Sunday.
Five investors have built new facilities in the capital’s industrial city, covering a total area of 230,779 sqm.
ZonesCorp’s new investors are set to move in over the next couple of months, focusing on a range of sectors that cover the economic zone’s core markets, including warehousing and logistics, food and beverage, SMEs and heavy machinery, ZonesCorp said in a statement.
The companies setting up in the industrial city include Innovida Warehouses Management, Fibrex Construction Group, Petro Hub, Riviere Mineral Water Factory, and the Aertssen Group.
“We are positive about the coming year and early indications suggest that we will continue to see a steady flow of high quality investments on ZonesCorp acreage as 2017 progresses. These new investments underpin our position as the strategic partner of choice for industrial and manufacturing developments in the UAE,” Saeed Eisa Al Khyeli, Director General of ZonesCorp, said in a statement. He added: “The ZonesCorp model is distinct from a ‘free-zone’ allowing investors to easily access rapidly developing internal and external markets.”
ZonesCorp currently houses over 650 industrial facilities, receiving over Dh29 billion worth of investments from local and international companies since its inception. Its economic zones are tax free.
